I figured out I wanted to work in tech when I was in high school, where I qualified for FBLA nationals and around the same time built my own gaming computer. Gaming definitely brought me deeper into the field through setting up servers, creating bots, and learning how things work together. Going into college, I took computer science courses which were engaging but not as meaningful to me as the things I had done on my own time. This revelation led me to major in Information Technology Infrastructure instead of Computer Science at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
As I grew more knowledgeable in the topic, I realized that security is the most important piece. You can have the most efficient network, but it will fail without proper security. Security ensures that things run smoothly. That realization is what led me to pursue my M.S. in Information Science and Technology at UW-Milwaukee this fall. Long term, I want to be the person designing systems that implement security from the get-go so that they don't need lots of extra work after the fact. Currently I am looking for roles that will put me on that trajectory.

Proxmox bare-metal server running production services and a full SOC lab on one machine. Elastic SIEM, Nextcloud, Jellyfin, and a game server share the LAN bridge, while an air-gapped cyber sandbox with Kali and FlareVM runs on its own isolated bridge for malware analysis and attack simulation with zero internet access. The foundation that everything else in this portfolio runs on.

Full-stack web app for athletes and coaches to share practice and competition video. The browser uploads and downloads directly to a private S3 bucket through short-lived pre-signed URLs so that AWS credentials never touch the client. Role-based access control scopes each user to their own content, auth runs through a JWT in an HTTP-only cookie with bcrypt-hashed passwords, and CloudTrail logs every access event.

Quantitative risk assessment of Minnesota healthcare cloud infrastructure using Monte Carlo simulation to model financial exposure across 12 identified risks. Mapped findings to NIST CSF controls and delivered an executive policy memo with prioritized mitigations that brought the probability of losses exceeding $10M from 54.4% down to 7.8%.

Beyond the Keyboard
I love spending time outdoors; you can often find me at a park or on the track. I take personal fitness very seriously and enjoy mixxing in different types of training like weights, running, and sprinting. I also spend time volunteering by coaching pole vault at the high school level. This past season I was lucky enough to have two athletes qualify for state, who set three school records combined. When I'm not busy running around, I like to relax by reading history or fiction and learning language.
